Stuart Park Surgery & Darwin After Hours Medical Service

Stuart Park Surgery has provided medical services to the Top End since 1975. Our medical centre has been at its current location in the Stuart Park Shopping Centre since 1981, and we added Darwin After Hours Medical Service in 2000.

Our surgery is accredited by Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL), ensuring the highest standards, and we have been an approved medical training centre since 1984, teaching medical students, GP registrars, and overseas-trained doctors. Most of our doctors have their Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). This is equivalent to being a specialist in providing GP services and can only be obtained after extensive post-graduate training and experience.

We have registered nurses who carry out wound care and assist the doctors. Our reception staff are experienced and can assist with all inquiries.

Our services include family medicine, childhood care, contraceptive advice, pregnancy tests, antenatal care, pap smears, skin checks, removal of skin cancers, pre-employment work medicals, workers compensation, travel vaccinations (excluding yellow fever), flu and other vaccinations, spirometry, ECG, audiometry, and instant drug screening.

We do not prescribe tranquillisers or drugs of addiction to addicted individuals. In Darwin, routine childhood vaccinations are provided by Government Community Health Centres.
